The Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis will make their debut at the FINA World Championships on Sunday. The 18th world championships currently being held in Gwangju, South Korea began on Friday, and the first week featured artistic swimming, diving, open water swimming and water polo.
For the first time in the competition’s 46 year history, St. Kitts and Nevis will be represented in the 100m freestyle and the 50m backstroke by Jennifer Harding-Marlin.
Jennifer is originally from Canada but resides in Nevis. As a lawyer, she operates her own law firm, JH Marlin and specialises in citizenship passport by investment.
St. Kitts and Nevis is one of three countries that will make their debuts at the biennial event; Bhutan and Eritrea are the other two.
The swimming races will start on Sunday with high diving and water polo’s medal rounds.
