Onaje Amory claims six-fer on debut

Rising star Onaje Amory, starred on debut for Nevis, as he bagged six wickets for 72 runs against Montserrat.

With 36 runs on the board, Amory picked up his first wicket, the prized wicket of Zawandi White, the captain of the Montserrat team. White was caught behind by rising star Carlon Bowen-Tuckett for duck, 36-3.

Amory bagged the wickets of all-rounder Shernyl Burns and opening batsman KasJuan Sullivan. Both contributed significantly to the Montserrat first innings score, 82 and 63 respectively.

Montserrat was bowled out for 243. Onaje Amory finished with 6/72.

At the close of play, Nevis trailed by 171 runs. They are 72/2, both openers back in the pavilion.

Along with Amory, three other recent West Indies U19 stars, Justin Amurdan, Carlon Bowen-Tuckett and Jaden Carmichael were all handed their caps in a symbolic gesture by a mixture of senior players.
