Today, the St. Kitts & Nevis National Carnival Committee received significant assistance in the form of EC$27,000.00 in sponsorship from The Royal St. Kitts Hotel.
The General Manager of the Royal St. Kitts Hotel, Mr Darren Thompson indicated that despite the devastating impact of Covid-19 on the Hotel and the Tourism sector in general over the past nine (9) months, the Hotel still wanted to ensure that it made a contribution to National Carnival, traditionally the largest National event.

In accepting the sponsorship on behalf of the St. Kitts & Nevis National Carnival Committee, Shannon Hawley (Chair, SKNNCC) offered her sincerest thanks to the management of the Royal St. Kitts Hotel for their sponsorship and commitment to the development of the cultural sector, especially during these trying economic times.
She said, “As a corporate partner, despite the trying financial times, the Royal St. Kitts Hotel has come on board and demonstrated their confidence in the St. Kitts & Nevis National Carnival Committee to produce a primarily virtual National Carnival during Covid-19”.
The National Carnival Committee will be hosting a series of virtual events over the traditional National Carnival period under the theme, “Carnival Celebrations redefined for Sugar Mas 49”.
