SKN PULSE – Alfred North Whitehead once penned this quote: “No one who achieves success does so without the help of others. The wise and confident acknowledge this help with gratitude.” – Today, Mr. Tito Chapman would like to extend a hearty thank you to Meridian International, GCIV, Farah Amir, Jessica Hill and the entire staff, The YLAI Team, The US Embassy – Barbados, Shantel Khleif, Imagine Media Consulting, Friends & Family, Mommy, Daddy and lastly the U.S State Department.

The Nevisian Entrepreneur has the distinct honour of being the first Nevisian Fellow to be selected for the YLAI cohort. While his Kittitian counterparts Mr. Tishon Thomas and Ms. Nicola Charles from 2016 were the first to represent the Federation at such a program.

Tito along with Kittitian Akila Henry were chosen as two of the 250 Leaders of the Americas 2017 Cohort, who were all spread across America in 24 cities as they shadowed businesses and organizations to get a first-hand experience of best business practices and an understanding of how corporations and businesses operate in the United States.

In an exclusive interview with a volunteer at SKN PULSE, Founder Tito Chapman  had this to say:

“Having met new friends from Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Honduras, Jamaica, Peru and Mexico, I couldn’t ask for anything more: I had the best host company and social outings were awesome: the opportunity to work with the friendly staff at Imagine Media Consulting, (Atlanta) was certainly a privilege.”

At his host company, Tito was able to get a hands on approach dealing with photography, videography, content and best business practices. According to Tito, he was provided with a handful of tools and ideas from software to apps from gadgets to pharaphaneila: Having seen a different approach as to how to deal with social accounts re-tweaking our social media strategy is an immediate adjustment that has already been made.

Added to this: he stated -” Everything was at my finger tips – what I needed to know I simply just had to ask. With that said, “I was afforded the opportunity to sit in sales meetings, and discovery calls just to name a few.”

“It was from these meetings that I was able to garner a greater appreciation for where we could improve and what services could be added to the business model”.

Tito believes that being apart of the decision making process was beneficial. According to him sharing ideas opened up pathways that never existed before. For example, posting would now be the most simplest thing for us to do because we have incorporated a new app which simplifies everything.

Tito in wrapping up the interview used the opportunity to express thanks: “Again I would like to thank Shantel Khleif who went above and beyond to ensure that the experience was worthwhile … and to the Imagine Media Consulting Team … Thanks for the great experience”.

Mr. Chapman is hoping to launch two more business projects but in the interim he has two projects he is working on that are apart of SKN PULSE community out-reach programs. He also used the opportunity to encourage young entrepreneurs between 21 and 35 to apply to the YLAI program:

“The benefits to be derived are tremendous… I am available to answer any questions with regards to the program that my Fellow Nevisian and Kittitian brothers and sisters may have. So, feel free to message me via email or through Facebook.”
