Social Entrepreneur; Founder & CEO of Recharge Yourself Global, Dr Lucien York, participated in the Day of Interruption, Nevis Edition.
Dr York, a son of the soil and former youth development worker on Nevis, was one of many community leaders who delivered dynamic messages of empowerment, bringing interruption to the cycles of crime and violence.

Dr York is a passionate community leader and advocate for all things youth and mental health. As a community leader of the vibrant protect next GEN foundation out of St. Maarten, where he currently resides, he took the opportunity to introduce the Nevisian students to their ongoing campaign; where they aim to normalize the question “Are You Ok?”
During his presentation, he asked..
How many of your parents and teachers take the time to ask you…are you OK?
- Dr York
Many of the students replied that no one usually asked them that question.

He challenged the students to make it their business to start asking each other if they are OK? Students took on the challenge and right there and then expressed a very moving moment.
Dr. York is very grateful for the opportunity to be a part of the Day of Interruption.

A huge thank you to The Government of Saint Kitts and Nevis & The Citizen Security Secretariat, the Department of Education-Nevis, the Charlestown Secondary School and Nevis Sixth Form, and the Charlestown Primary School for the opportunity to be apart of such great Interruption.
