Gayle has played for his home team, the Jamaica Tallawahs and the St Kitts & Nevis Patriots. He was apart of the Tallawahs team that won the CPL title twice. As a Patriot, he played in the CPL final of 2017 which the Patriots lost.
Gayle is the leading T20 run-scorer of all time as well as the man with the most centuries in the format. Known to many as the World Boss, he is also the leading CPL run-scorer of all time, having made 2,344 runs at the tournament.
The eighth edition of the CPL is slated for August 19 – September 26, 2020.
