Stuart Williams elected new Chairman of selectors by the Leeward Islands Cricket Board

Stuart Williams, the former Nevisian Opening Batsman/Captain, Leeward Islands Captain, West Indies Opening Batsman and now West Indies Assistant Female Coach has been elected as chairman of the selection panel of the Leeward Islands Cricket Board for a two year tenure.

Regarded as one of most prolific Leeward Islands player in his era, Williams broke and set records in the Regional Cricket competition, (Busta Cup). Williams played thirty one test and 57 one-day matches for the West Indies at an average of 24.14 and 32.36 respectively. His highest test score being 128.

He will be joined by Antiguan Sylvester Joseph, a former Leeward Island and West Indies batsman along with Shane Jeffers of St. Kitts, former St. Kitts and Leeward Island batsman.

The selection panel will also be joined by the coach of the Leeward Islands team, Winston Benjamin, former Antigua, Leewards and West Indies fast bowler.
