The Police Marine Unit in St Lucia responded to a report of a collision involving the vessel Ocean Angel and the pirogue Mango Tours, at Anse Cochon on Saturday, July 18, 2026, about 11:55 p.m.
Preliminary investigations indicate that at the time of the incident, Mango Tours was travelling southward, while Ocean Angel was proceeding towards the northern part of the island. Following the collision, Mango Tours sank. Ocean Angel also sustained damage, and a section of the vessel was subsequently recovered.

Two female individuals have been confirmed deceased while fourteen individuals are nursing injuries. Two individuals remain unaccounted for.
The deceased have been identified as twenty-one (21) year-old Mhakeida Nestor, of La Fargue, Choiseul, and twenty-five (25) year-old Debbie Dolor of Market Road, Soufriere.
Search and rescue operations remain ongoing to locate the two individuals reported unaccounted for.

The Royal Saint Lucia Police Force extends its condolences to the families and loved ones of the deceased.
Investigations into the circumstances surrounding this tragic incident are ongoing.
