SKN PULSE – CFBC alumni Dennis Mc Call Jr an KAMAU Grant are the 2017 winners of the University of the West Indies Cave Hill Campus Inter-Island Debating Competition.

Both represented the St.Kitts-Nevis Students’ Association. The former CFBC Literary and Debating Society debators competed as part of the Upper House Opposition on the moot “This House would allow social media comments to be protected by free speech.”

Having gained success in the preliminary round the male duo proceeded unto the final round of competition where they came up against representatives from the Bahamas, Guyana and St.Lucia in the impromptu moot “This house believes that individual feminists should reject acts of chivalry”.

However, they presented arguments as part of the Lower house government and were successful in taking the top spot in this year’s competition!

We extend congratulations to the two young gentlemen on a job well done and also congratulations goes out to the St. Kitts and Nevis Students Association.
