Basseterre, St. Kitts (SKN PULSE) –National Carnival Power Soca Monarchs LAX and KT have added yet another crown to their names as they were judged winners of the second edition of the Arrow Tribute Regional Soca Monarch competition held at the Heritage Village in Salem Park, Montserrat.
Last night, (Thursday 16 March 2017) Jarez “LAX” Liburd and Jason “KT” Kyte backed up by their team of dancers, thrilled the audience as they performed their 2015 hit “Jackhammer” and their 2016 crown winning song “Big Truck” for the two-round competition.
They came up against regional Soca artists from Anguilla Antigua, St. Lucia, Grenada, St. Vincent, and Nevis.
Results from the Arrow Regional Soca Monarch Competition were as follows:
1st L.A.X & KT- St. Kitts
2nd Ricky T – St. Lucia
3rd Menace – Antigua
Delly ranks out of Nevis also took part in the competition but unfortunately didn’t place.
The Arrow Tribute Regional Soca Monarch was first held last year to honour the legacy of Soca King, Arrow. Last year’s show was won by Boyzie.
