Footballer gunned down in Newtown

After a lull in murders in 2019, St. Kitts and Nevis registered its first murder for 2020 in Newtown, St.Kitts last night, Friday 24th January.

According to the Police, the fatal shooting occurred sometime after 9pm at Sand Down Road.

The deceased has been identified as 28-year-old Kennedy ‘K’ Isles, team captain of S Krave Newtown United FC, a well known footballer.

Today January 25th, he would have celebrated his 29th birthday.


While the community mourns, the Newtown football club and the St. Kitts and Nevis Football Association have expressed their condolences via their respective facebook handles.

Investigations are ongoing.
