Chumney released on $50,000 bail

Basseterre, St. Kitts (SKN PULSE ) -Kareem Chumney, the 21 year old who was charged with manslaughter in the stabbing death of his 15-year-old brother has been released on $50,000 bail.

The accused went before the Magistrate Court on Wednesday and was granted bail with the following conditions: 

-he reports to the Basseterre Police Station every day, 

– surrenders his travel documents,

– observes a 7pm-6am curfew, 

-remains at the home of his maternal grandmother.

The 21-year-old Chumney was arrested on Saturday for the stabbing death of Ashanafi Saddler, his brother by his mother’s side.
