Botched Robbery: The Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force shared details on Sunday, August 20, concerning a botched robbery that targeted a Ram’s Supermarket, Nevis.

According to the police, ant approximately 2:30PM on August 20th, 2023, five (5) armed assailants attempted to rob Ram’s Supermarket on Nevis.

Preliminary investigations have revealed that the assailants attacked the security guard with an umbrella and attempted to rob the cash tills. Due to the fact that the robbers were unable to access the tills, they fled the scene in a vehicle they stole from a customer who was entering the supermarket.

The stolen vehicle was abandoned by the robbers and recovered by police at Long Point.

Shortly after receiving a robbery report, the Police pursued a vehicle with four (4) suspects. The chase ended in Brown Hill as the vehicle crashed into a wall. One of the four suspects fled the scene on foot while the other three were taken into police custody.

Investigations are currently ongoing.
