A minor earthquake was felt in sections of St. Kitts and Nevis this afternoon.

The 4.7 magnitude quake was felt around 4:35 pm and was located 64 km NNW of Basseterre, Saint Kitts and Nevis.

According to the UWI, Seismic Centre, the earthquake was located at:

Longitude: 62.90W
Depth: 31 km
