SKN PULSE – Nevis youth cricketers continue to surpass expectations as two aspiring stars score a half century and a century respectively.
In an encounter at Conaree Cricket Grounds on Saturday 3rd March, a Nevis U15 team outplayed their Kittitian counterparts.
Having won the toss, Nevis elected to bat and were in a spot of bother as they lost their first wicket when the score was on 2.
According to eyewitnesses, what transpired after was an onslaught. Akadianto Willet and Carlton Tuckett put on a partnership of 157 runs before the fall of the second wicket.
Willett scored a half century, (60) and Tuckett scored an unbeaten 110. Nevis ammassed 208 in their allotted 30 overs. Phipps and Lowry picked up a wicket apiece for the St. Kitts team.
Nevis bowled out St. Kitts for 128. Young Willett bagged 4 wickets for 21 runs and Griffin bagged 3-23. Lowry topped scored with 38 while Francis contributed 34.
Nevis won by 80 runs and Willett was named Man of the Match.
