Four elite sailors proudly represented the Federation: Clijae Christmas-Mulley of the Nevis Aquatic and Sailing Center, and Emijah Maynard, Rodney Huggins, and Greyson Burrell of the St. Kitts Yacht Club, led by SKNSA President and Coach Nicholas Dupré.
From the first whistle, Team SKN showed they were in it to win. Following practice races and the opening ceremony, the Green Fleet quickly became an SKN stronghold. By Day 2, Clijae Christmas-Mulley and Emijah Maynard had seized and defended 1st and 2nd place with confidence and tactical mastery.
Despite rapidly shifting weather—intense sun, driving rain, and heavy waves—Team SKN remained unshaken. Their determination and skill underscored SKNSA’s reputation as one of the Caribbean’s fastest-rising youth sailing programs.
First-time competitor Rodney Huggins delivered a standout debut, securing 3rd place in several races. Meanwhile, veteran sailor Greyson Burrell stepped boldly into the elite Optimist Championship Fleet—the qualifying fleet for the Optimist World Championship. He shocked the fleet on practice day with a dramatic surge from behind to take 1st place. Throughout the regatta, he maintained consistent 9th-place finishes and closed strongly in a field stacked with top-tier regional competitors.
These victories follow a historic moment just weeks earlier, when Greyson earned 3rd place at the Caribbean Dinghy Championships (CDC) in Antigua—SKN’s first-ever podium finish at the event. Now, with two more trophies securSt. Kitts and Nevis Olympic Committees to prove that disciplined training, structured youth development, and strong coaching can elevate local athletes to international standards.

Their growth is extraordinary, and their performances this weekend were the result of discipline, courage, and countless hours on the water. Every race they sail raises the profile of our Federation and opens doors for future generations.”
Coach Nickhail has always said,
“The commitment from these young athletes is inspiring. They push hard in training, lift each other up, and compete with heart. With continued support, there is no limit to how far SKN sailors can go.”
Sailors Emijah and Clijae noted,
“It felt amazing to represent St. Kitts and Nevis and bring home a trophy. The conditions were tough, but we stayed focused and worked as a team. We want to keep improving and make our country proud.”
SKNSA extends warm congratulations to Clijae Christmas-Mulley and Emijah Maynard for their brilliant victories.
