Basseterre, St. Kitts, September 03, 2017 (RSCNPF): Two (2) persons has arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the murder of Kishorne Edwards of Upper Cayon, which was committed on 4 July 2017 at Ottley’s Village.
Jerod “JBay” Stapleton of Lodge village and Ellister “Rambo” Thomas of Lodge have been formally charged and cautioned for the murder of Kishorne Edwards. Their arrest followed a long and tedious investigation, with the use of the forensic and other capabilities that the police have at their disposal.
Kishorne Edwards’ murder was the 17th for the year, and the arrests in his case resulted in 8 of the 18 murders solved. Assistant Commissioner of Police, Mr. Andre Mitchell, who is the head of the Crime Directorate stated that the investigators worked tirelessly to solve this case, and commended them. He also thanked all who were instrumental during the investigation, and encourage members of the pubic to continue to assist the police in making St. Kitts and Nevis a safe place to live, work, and do business.
Deputy Commissioner of Police, Mr. Hilroy Brandy, stated that as the police and the other Law Enforcement Agencies are doing their best to make St. Kitts and Nevis a safe place for everyone, members of the public are also duty bound to assist in this process. He once again take this opportunity, on his behalf and the entire Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force to express his sympathy with the family members, and the community on the loss their loved one and community member. Also, encouraged everyone to support the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force and the other Law Enforcement Agencies in their efforts.
