West Indies launched their World Cup campaign by hammering Pakistan by seven wickets at Trent Bridge on Friday.
Deciding to bowl first, West Indies bowled out Pakistan for a mere 105.
Debutant fast bowler Oshane Thomas baggd four wickets while captain holder bagged three wickets and Andre Russell, 2.
West Indies made light work of Pakistan’s total. Chris Gayle smashed a quick-fire fifty off 34 deliveries as they romped home in just 13.4 overs.
Nicholas Pooran and Hetmyer were the not out batsmen. Pooran impressed with a knock off 34 of 19 deliveries.
