Local, Regional and International Recognition – Team Antigua Island Girls featured on the popular Rock Newman Show in Washington DC.
Some 25 days after, their names have been etched in the history books. The first All-Black Women’s Rowing Team to cross the Atlantic Ocean.
While the challenges were many, Elvira Bell, Christal Clashing, Kevinia Francis, and Samara Emmanuel persevered.
They rowed a historic 3000 mile across the Atlantic Ocean from the Canary Islands to English Harbor in Antigua.
There journey…….A well documented Story………On the Rock Newman Show, they recounted their historic adventure, spoke about the challenges and relived their moments of returning home to Antigua.
