Basseterre, St. Kitts (18th February, 2025)— The St. Kitts Electricity Company Ltd. (SKELEC) continues to celebrate the spirit of gratitude and community with its annual Love Basket Distribution in honour of Valentine’s Day. On Friday 14th February, representatives from various divisions within the company embarked on a heartfelt journey across the island to deliver love baskets to former employees who dedicated years of service to SKELEC.
This year’s recipients included:
- Olanzo Jacobs – Former Electrician
- Anthony Sweeney – Former Driver/Electrician
- Lesroy Clarke – Former Driver
- Lionel Marsham – Former Electrician
- Jerome Clarke – Former Tractor Driver
Mr. Clement Williams, General Manager of SKELEC, emphasized the company’s deep appreciation for its retirees: “This initiative underscores our commitment to honoring those who have dedicated their careers to SKELEC. It is our way of giving back and ensuring they know they are still valued members of our SKELEC family. Together, we not only power homes but also uplift hearts.”
The Love Basket Distribution is one of SKELEC’s many community-driven initiatives, demonstrating the company’s ongoing commitment to appreciation and support. Each year, six retired employees are randomly selected to receive these tokens of gratitude, reinforcing SKELEC’s mission to foster a lasting connection with those who have played a pivotal role in the company’s growth.
