Singing Jenny crowned 2018 “Best of the Rest” Calypso Queen

Lone female Calypsonian, Jennifer Demming, ‘Singing Jenny’ walked away with the Best of the Rest Crown last night at the Circus.

Singing, “Mom, I know U Hurting”, Singing Jenny, a crowd favourite beat seven male competitors to reign supreme.

The other seven participating Calypsonians were: Mighty J, Badman Polo, Hot Rod, De Provoker, Quantash, Jack Spanner and Honesty. The Calypsonians were backed by the Legends Band.

The final results were as follows:

Winner – Singing Jenny (353 points)

1st Runner Up – Jack Spanner (343 points)

2nd Runner Up – Honesty (334 points)

3rd Runner Up – Quantash (301 points)

Best of the Rest is a competition for those Calypsonians who weren’t able to advance to the Senior Monarch Competition.
