SHADWELL SHOOTING UNDER POLICE INVESTIGATION

The Police are investigating a shooting incident that occurred on August 14th, 2023, in Shadwell, St. Kitts, between 4PM and 4:30PM. Responding to the scene, the Special Services Unit (SSU) of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force (RSCNPF) found Gavin Amory of Shadwell outside his home with a bullet wound to the right ankle.

Preliminary investigations revealed that two (2) masked assailants on a motor bike approached Mr. Amory and a family member who were seated outside, and fired two (2) gunshots at them. While attempting to escape the attack, Mr. Amory sustained the wound to his ankle. He was subsequently transported by the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) to the Joseph N. France General Hospital.

The Crime Scene Unit (CSU) processed the scene and collected some items of evidential value. An investigation into the incident is ongoing and the general public will be kept appropriately abreast of its developments.
