“Fear God,” is the title of the newest single from St. Kitts-based gospel artiste Sarid DVN. The Jamaican native burst on to the local scene about a year ago with the announcement of his then new single “Where is the Church,” as well as the launch of his record label SARID Records Inc. and clothing line. Now, several months later, his new reggae single which has been launched on radio stations around the world, is creating a new buzz for the artiste.

He disclosed that the song was an idea that birthed a long time ago, with the help of some of his creative relatives and wife. “The song is about 14 years old…There was a time I was in church in Jamaica and at the time I was searching for Christ….I remembered at the time the preacher preached and said the “whole duty of man is to fear God and keep his commandments and that’s where the inspiration for the song came from,” Sarid explained.

The song was first released years ago in Jamaica, but now Sarid said it has a fresher sound thanks in large part to one of his producers Little Man Production and a team of talented musicians. The song is produced by Sarid Records Inc., his record label. “Fear God” has a fresh new reggae vibes that will keep listeners hooked to the melodies and message. “The hope is that (listeners) receive the message. You don’t want it to go across as a sweet melody to the ears and then it’s gone. It’s a real message—it’s a warning to the world,” Sarid said. “Fear God means…to reverence God, respect Him and keep his commandments.”

The song is available on all digital music platforms and Sarid is encouraging fans to support the music. “The Bible says that your gift shall make room for you. So while we are doing the spiritual part, we need money to take care of our needs… we need people to support the song,” he said.

He also shot a music video for the single which will be debuting soon. “I teamed up again with ISI Visual (Dason Fraser) and this time we shot the scene at Brimstone Hill…we did about three different locations. People can look out for it. It will be on YouTube and my social media pages. It’s coming soon so look out for it,” he added.

Sarid is working on his album, but disclosed that fans can look out for a gospel concert his record label will be organizing for next year February in aid of his church: the Church of God Seventh Day in Cabbage Tree, Cayon.
