Basseterre, St. Kitts, December 19, 2017 –Police Monday reported an armed robbery and sexual assault and have requested the assistance of the general public in apprehending the suspects.
Investigations have revealed that on Thursday, December 14, at about 2:37 a.m., three armed persons entered the home of the victim in the rural west area of the island. They took a personal item of hers, then brought her to a separate location and sexually assaulted her.
The Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force is urging persons with information about this incident to contact the Tabernacle Police Station at 465-7227, the Dieppe Bay Police Station at 465-7261, the nearest Police Station or Crime Stoppers at 1-800- 8477 (TIPS).
Police made no mention of an alert sent out last Thursday by Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine to its student population, faculty, staff and members of the public of an incident in the Palmetto Point area of St. Kitts.
RUSVM reported that around 10 minutes after 1 ‘o’ clock Thursday morning, a community member heard noises inside a residence and saw three masked men already inside.
“There was a physical altercation between the male owner and one of the suspects. The male owner was injured in the process. Shortly after all three suspects fled the residence. Nothing was taken from the residence.
The police in conjunction with Ross Security and K-9 searched the area.
