Video footage of a brawl involving police and guests at a hotel in St. Kitts, has spurred national, regional and worldwide outrage.
The footage that was widely shared via social media yesterday shows two white tourists ill-treating officers, swearing at officers, resisting arrests among other unruly behaviours.
The incident which occurred on Tuesday 1 January, 2019, was termed as just ‘ridiculous’ by a facebook user, (DH).
On-lookers and guest in the video urged officers to “floor” the unruly tourist, (male) who continually disrespected both officers and made attempts to hit the officer, (the smaller of the two). The sentiments, “boy if you carn fight you need to go off the force” was echoed by one on-looker in the video.
All over the internet nationals were vocal: The Video Footage had Facebook flaming.

The tourists were taken into police custody. Up to press time no statement has been forthcoming. The Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force have indicated that they are looking into the matter.
A news article penned by Erasmus Williams indicates that the tourist left the Federation yesterday, (Wednesday 2nd January, 2019).
The two visitors involved in a brawl with the police officers in uniform in the lobby of a local hotel on Tuesday night, departed St. Kitts on American Airlines Wednesday morning flight to Miami without being charged.

The Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Force has indicated that they are looking into the matter. No further details were provided. The Police Public Press Relations Unit have yet to release a statement.
