BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS (FEBRUARY 10, 2026)
St. Kitts welcomed Oceania Nautica to Port Zante today 10th February 2026, marking the vessel’s inaugural call to the destination. The arrival of this boutique, luxury ship underscores St. Kitts’ growing reputation as a premier destination for high-end, small-ship cruising.

The Oceania Nautica, known for its “re-inspired” neo-classical elegance and intimate atmosphere, arrived with a capacity of approximately 684 guests. As a boutique vessel, the Nautica offers a unique “country club casual” experience, boasting one of the highest guest-to-staff ratios in the industry.

Kelly Fontenelle, CEO of the St. Kitts Tourism Authority, expressed her enthusiasm:

“The inaugural call of the Oceania Nautica is a testament to the enduring allure of St. Kitts and our commitment to providing world-class experiences for every traveler. Welcoming a vessel of this caliber allows us to showcase the authentic ‘Kittitian Heartbeat’ to a discerning audience. These visitors don’t just see our island; they immerse themselves in our culture, supporting our local artisans, tour operators, and entrepreneurs, which is vital for the continued growth of our tourism economy.”

Nautica’s passengers provide a significant economic boost to the local community. With a focus on destination immersion, Oceania guests are known for engaging in high-quality excursions. Visitors had the opportunity to experience prime attractions such as the UNESCO World Heritage site at Brimstone Hill Fortress or the destination’s lush interior via the St. Kitts Scenic Railway, the last of its kind in the West Indies. The influx of visitors directly benefits the taxi operators, restaurateurs, and retailers who form the backbone of St. Kitts’ tourism product.

As the 2025-2026 season continues to progress, the St. Kitts Tourism Authority remains dedicated to diversifying on-island offerings to ensure every visitor leaves with a piece of St. Kitts in their heart.
