Nevis’ main opposition party, the Nevis Reformation Party (NRP) will have their annual convention at the Jessup’s Community Center this Sunday, 21st October under the theme: ‘Moving Forward Together.’
The day’s proceedings would include the presentation of reports and voting on resolutions: members will vote on the party’s new Strategic Plan and its amended Constitution. In addition, the Party will hold its internal election, including a vote for President, Vice President, Chairmanship, etc.
Member of Parliament, Joseph Parry served as President of the Party since 1992. After a huge defeat at the polls in December of last year, (CCM 4 – NRP 1) he indicated to the party he was stepping down.
As a result, New and existing personalities will give rise to NRP’s Federal Campaign Election Bid. Among those vying for the top post of President (Party leader) are Former Minister of Housing, Mr. E. Robelto Hector and Former President of the Clarence Fitzroy Bryant College (CFBC), Dr. Kelvin Daly.
Party supporters and well wishers would be addressed by The St. Kitts and Nevis Labour Party Parliamentary Representative of St. Christopher #3, Konris Maynard.
