Police assigned to the Gingerland Police Division and the Traffic Department, (Charlestown) are probing the circumstances surrounding the vehicle collision that claimed the life of a motorcyclist earlier this afternoon, (Tuesday 5th February).
Dead is Stuart David, a mechanic from Gingerland, (New River Estate).
The motorcyclist was heading northbound when he collided with a pick-up truck, (P2948) owned by Orville Bartlette of Cole Hill on the island’s Main Road, (Chicken Stone). The Pick-up Truck was travelling in the opposite direction heading towards Central. The collision of P922 and P2948, was the first major and fatal accident on the island of Nevis for 2019.
David died on the scene. One person is in custody assisting with investigations.
