BASSETERRE, St. Kitts and Nevis, July 19th 2026 — The newly elected Executive of the Media Association of St. Kitts and Nevis has held its first official meeting following the Association’s Biennial General Meeting and elections.
The meeting brought together members of the newly constituted executive to discuss priorities for the 2026–2028 term and to begin charting a strategic path forward for the organization.

President Andre Huie welcomed members and expressed confidence in the team’s ability to advance the Association’s mission of supporting media professionals and strengthening journalism throughout the Federation.
Discussions focused on enhancing engagement with media practitioners, expanding professional development opportunities, increasing public awareness of the role of credible journalism, and exploring innovative ways to connect with a rapidly evolving media landscape.
The executive also reaffirmed its commitment to promoting ethical standards, fostering collaboration among media workers, and creating meaningful opportunities for learning, networking, and professional growth.

President Huie described the discussions as positive and forward-looking, noting that the Association is eager to build on previous achievements while pursuing new initiatives that will benefit both members and the wider public.
