LEEWARD ISLAND HURRICANES ADVANCES TO COLONIAL MEDICAL INSURANCE SUPER50 FINAL

Coach Stuart Williams and his Leeward Island Hurricanes advance to the Colonial Medical Insurance Super50 Finals by defeating the dominant Trinidad and Tobago Red Force, the top team that advanced from Group B.

Batting first Trinidad and Tobago scored 268 for 8 in their 50 overs. Opening batsman, Tion Webster top scored with 91 runs while Sheeno Berridge continued his impressive bowling in the tournament, capturing 4 for 58.

In reply, the Hurricanes reached their target in 49.3 overs, they scored 269 for the loss of 6 wickets.

Captain Jahmar Hamilton top scored with a 34 ball, 74 not out. Kacey Carty scored 53 and Kieran Powell contributed 48 runs.

Winning by 4 wickets, Leewards would faceoff with the West Indies Emerging Players on Sunday, December 1st.

The West Indies Emerging Players team defeated Barbados Pride in the first semifinal encounter on Thursday 28th November 2019.

The Man of the Match award was presented to Leeward Hurricanes captain, Jahmar Hamilton.
