Grand Welcome for Jahzara Claxton

Rising Star, Jahzara Claxton returned home yesterday Monday 30th January, from West Indies Duties to a grand welcome.

Family members, friends, classmates, school officials, football team-mates, sports enthusiasts, the Minister with responsibility for Sport, Creative Economy, et.al. Hon. Samal Duggins and Ambassador in the Ministry of Sport, His Excellency Kenny Douglas, were among the scores of persons who welcomed Claxton home from duties with the West Indies Under 19 Female Cricket Team.

In a brief ceremony, President of the St. Kitts Cricket Association, Mr Dennis Phillip delivered brief remarks. Following his remarks, Claxton was presented with flowers by a member of the St. Kitts Cricket Association.

Other tokens were presented by the Newtown United Football Club and the Charles E. Mills Secondary School.

The talented rising Star is the first female from St. Kitts and Nevis to make the West Indies Under 19 Female Cricket Team.
