“I salute him. I saluted him when he was alive. I salute him today on his death. He has been a true revolutionary and has caused, pursued and had the vision to bring into being tremendous permanent changes in the lives of people, not only in the Caribbean but around the entire world especially in Africa. It is really a pity that we have lost him, but I believe that his life and what it has meant to all of us, especially those young people here in St. Kitts and Nevis who have had the opportunity to be trained un Cuba, would have impacted them for the rest of their lives,” said Dr. Douglas on Freedom FM’s popular “Issues” programme on Wednesday afternoon.
