Irish Town Primary school students traumatised after shooting incident

Basseterre, St. Kitts, June 20, 2018 – Scores of children attending the Irish Town Primary School were traumatised after escaping injury when a lone gunman fired several bullets outside the school Wednesday morning.

The gunman’s target was still unidentified, but a source said he is employed by the Parks and Beaches Unit in the vicinity. He escaped injury.

According to sources, the gunman laid wait in a nearby car.

Police are investigating.
