Basseterre, St. Kitts, February 09, 2017 (RSCNPF): Akile Glasgow of Sandy Point was found guilty of all charges against him in court on Tuesday (February 6) and was fined EC$200,000 to be paid in four (4) months or if in default serve two (2) years in prison.
The charges faced by Glasgow were Illegal Importation, Possession of controlled drugs, Possession of with intent to supply. He was also charged with Possession of a firearm and ammunition and Importation of a firearm and ammunition.
The charges stemmed from an Intelligence-Led Operation in August 2015.
Commissioner of Police Mr. Ian M. Queeley said, “this conviction is a testament to the results of good work done by the Police and other law enforcement partners. I want to also commend the prosecutors for staying the course in a difficult trial.It sends a clear message that when caught, you will be held accountable and the laws of the Federation will be upheld.”
