Jamaica and West Indies opener Chris Gayle exploded in the Global T20 Canada 2019 with a whirlwind 122 not out off just 54 balls to help Vancouver Knights register the second-highest total in T20 history.
Vancouver Knights after their allotted 20 overs were 276 for three against Montreal Tigers.
However, due to inclement weather, the Tigers were unable to bat.
Gayle smashed 12 sixes and seven fours. His scintillating performance, now has his named etched in the T20 history books as the first batsman to smash 1000 boundaries and register 22 hundreds in T20 cricket.
Tobais Visee who scored a quick-fire 51 runs from 19 balls and South Africa’s, Rassie Van der Dussen who scorrd 56 from 26 balls partnered with Gayle.
Both teams got 1 point each from the match.
