Two time CARIFTA medallist, De’Cheynelle Thomas, has qualified for the World Athletics U20 Championships to be held in Oregon from August 5th-9th, 2026.
Thomas met the qualifying standard after running 54.73 secs in the U20 Females 400m at the CARIFTA games being held in Grenada. Her time is a new personal best.
Thomas’ time also qualifies for the U20 Girls 400m final later today, (Saturday 4th April, 2026). She will be hoping to secure St Kitt and Nevis’s first medal at the 2026 CARIFTA Games.
