Two time CARIFTA medallist, De’Cheynelle Thomas, has qualified for the World Athletics U20 Championships to be held in Oregon from August 5th-9th, 2026.
Thomas met the qualifying standard for two events, the 400m and the 200m while competing at the CARIFTA games.
On Saturday, she ran 54.73 secs in the U20 Females 400m. On Sunday, she ran 23.92 in her 200m heat. Both times are new personal bests.
Thomas placed 7th in the U20 Girls 400m final on Saturday 4th April, 2026.
