Standing on a global stage alongside 448 elite sailors from 51 nations is a monumental achievement for Abhijith Srinivasan, proudly representing the St. Kitts and Nevis Sailing Association (SKNSA) and the Nevis Aquatic and Sailing Center (NASC). Competing at this world-class level is a staggering jump in scale from our regional Caribbean fleets. In our region, athletes must fight twice as hard to overcome a systemic lack of high-performance resources, specialized infrastructure, and training manpower.

Against these odds, Abhijith placed 271st overall, highlighted by a brilliant 28th-place finish in one of his final races. Watching him step into this high-pressure environment, adapt rapidly, and hold his own against the world’s best is a true testament to his grit, resilience, and immense potential.

Coach Nicholas Dupre and Coach Nickhail Rogers trusted that Abhijith was ready for this next major leap, and their vision propelled him to the starting line. Special thanks to coaches Niels and Kristoff whose insights during the training helped Abhijith move forward.
