The double homicide that occurred on Thursday September 3rd, in Brown Pasture marked the first murders recorded for the island of Nevis in 2026.
The circumstances surrounding deaths of the couple, Mario Andrew and Caroline Rodrigues are still under investigation. The police hasn’t provided any updates since confirming the homicides on Thursday.
To date, one person is assisting police with inquiries. No formal charges has been laid.
The double homicide comes nearly five (5) months after St Kitts and Nevis recorded its fourth (4th) homicide for 2026, in April.
The Federation’s homicide toll now stands at 6 for the year.
Nevis last recorded a homicide on July 29th 2025, when 27-year-old Xavier Dore of Pot Works was ambushed and shot multiple times by an unknown assailant or assailants.
