Basseterre, St. Kitts, 25th May, 2017 – Opening matches of the SKNFA Final Four delivered on excitement and tension for the large turn-out of spectators at the Warner Park Football Stadium on Wednesday, 24th May.

The double-header involved matches Flow 4G Cayon Rockets vs. Hobson Enterprises Garden Hotspurs, in the 6 pm match-up, and at 8 pm, S. L. Horsford St. Paul’s United came up against RAMS Village Superstars.

Both matches ended in a 1-0 score.

Cayon Rockets defeated Garden Hotspurs 1-0. The single goal scored was executed by Vinceroy Nelson in the 48th minute of play. And in spite of keen football and opportunities generated, neither team was able to convert.

The second game was characterized by assertive gameplay by both teams, stretching skills and determination to the limit. Close calls generated spectator excitement and groans, all at once, depending on what side of the fence you were on.

But success came for St. Paul’s United very early the game when Joash Leader, in the second minute of play, struck the back of the net. Village Superstars played well attempting to equalize, but it was not to be.
