3.4 magnitude earthquake jolts Jamaica

A minor earthquake was felt in sections of Kingston and St Catherine this afternoon.

The 3.4 magnitude quake was felt around 2:59 pm.

According to the Earthquake Unit at the University of the West Indies, Mona Campus, the epicentre was located approximately 7km northwest of Trinityville, St Thomas.

The earthquake had a focal depth of 6.9 km.
