West Indies improved play over the past couple test matches helps their cause as they seek to improve their test ranking. Currently engaged in a test series against Bangladesh, a win for the West Windies would see them moving up one spot to eighth in the ICC Test Rankings.
Informed players like Powell, Braithwaite, Roach, Holder and Cummings have moved up in the ICC Rankings.
With Roach, 20th and Kraigg Brathwaite, 16th; they are now in the top 20 in bowling and batting respectively. While captain Jason Holder moved up two places to 52nd in the batting rankings and to 23rd in the bowling ratings.
Kieran Powell moved up five places to 61st in the batting rankings. Fast bowler Miguel Cummins also saw positive movement as he moved up 12 places to 55th.
An unchanged West Indies Squad with the exception of Roach and the inclusion of Alzarri Joseph, the West Indies squad reads:
Jason Holder – Captain
Devendra Bishoo
Kraigg Brathwaite
