The Ministry of the Creative Economy announces a new winner of the Masquerade Competition following the recently concluded annual Folk Galore National Carnival Event.
Subsequent to the competition, the Ministry commenced a review of the audited results prior to final release. The review revealed an inadvertent omission of the bonus points which were awarded to groups who were punctual. This omission led to the Huggins’ Masquerades Senior group securing the 1st place spot by a 3-point lead.
Accordingly, the bonus points were duly awarded, and following a recalculation of the scores, Valon’s Masquerades emerged victorious as the overall winners having amassed the most points in the competition. This oversight was also applicable to the omission of bonus points for Sandy Point Bull. Therefore, bonus points of 5 points have now been applied to both Valon’s Masquerades and Sandy Point Bull.
The Ministry takes this opportunity to extend heartfelt congratulations to the management and members of Valon’s Masquerades. Moreover, the Ministry is grateful to the auditing firm Maitland Maitland & Associates for their assiduous facilitation of the review process. Further appreciation is extended to all the participants of the Folk Galore National Carnival Event for their invaluable contribution to its success.
The Ministry of Creative Economy humbly apologizes for this inconvenience and oversight.
