Six Women will be appearing in this year’s Calypso Monarch Finals.
Last night, (Sunday 16th December) history was made as five women were chosen as finalists for the Calypso Monarch Finals slated for the 29th of December. The highest number of women to advance to the Kaiso Monarch finals in SKN Carnival History.
The women are Queen Diva, Queen Kibi, Charis D, Queen Brown Sugar and Lil Miss. The two other finalists are King Godfrey and The Awesome Navigator.
They will do battle against reigning Calypso Queen, Miss Independent.
The semi-finals results were as follows:
Queen Diva – 757 points
Queen Kibi – 749 points
Charis D – 744 points
Queen Brown Sugar – 739 points
King Godfrey – 715 points
Lil Miss – 709 points
De Awesome Navigator – 692 points
The alternate is Singing Jackie.
