St. Kitts and Nevis Women’s U20 won the group stage in the CONCACAF Caribbean Qualification hosted in St. Kitts and Nevis from July 13-21.
They dominated Group B with 12 points having won all four (4) matches at the Warner Park Stadium in Basseterre.
Last night, SKN dominated St. Vincent and the Grenadines 4 goals to nil in their final encounter. The team’s hard-work paid dividends late in the first half as they scored their first goal in the 32nd minute and followed up with a second goal after they were awarded a penalty.
At the end of the first half, St. Kitts and Nevis were up 2-0. In the second half, SKN found the back of the net in the 52nd and 56th minute to wrap up their dominant run in the qualifying stage.
As was the case last night, SKN capitalized on the home crowd support and made light work of all the teams: they defeated Anguilla, (3-0) Grenada, (3-1) and Barbados, (4-1).
St. Kitts and Nevis will now join 19 other teams for the final tournament.
