The 2017 LICB U19 50 Overs Cricket Tournament bowled off in Antigua yesterday with host Antigua securing an impressive victory over team St. Kitts.
The Antiguans who lost the toss, batted first as St. Kitts opted to field. The Antiguans being at home, made good use of the batting conditions.
Seasoned campaigner, Kareem Henry batted through the innings and ensured that the Antiguan team posed a competitive total. He scored the first century of the tournament, 101 not out. He featured in an extensive partnership with Xavier Marshall, who fell 2 runs short of a half century, 48.
The Antiguan team in their alloted 50 overs, scored 262/6. Francis, Thomas and Hanley bagged 1 wicket each.
St. Kitts in reply were bowled out of 58 runs in 24.4 overs. Shillingford and Marshall were the pick of the bowlers.
Antigua won the encounter by 204 runs.
