SKN PULSE – Members of Football Clubs in St. Kitts and Nevis earlier today, (Sunday 25th) participated in the 2017 St. Kitts and Nevis Football Association, SKNFA Congress at the Marriott Grand Ball Room, Frigate Bay to elect a new executive.
Dr. Garfield Alexander and Anthony Johnson were vying for the President.
Johnson, who is very popular in football circles, signalled prior to the Congress that his team’s mandate was to simply increase player development.
Seemingly, Johnson and his team were always the front runners as Johnson received 21 votes compared to Dr. Garfield Alexander’s 4 votes.
The full executive team comprises of: Mr. Don Grant as First Vice President (VP); Corneil Williams, Second VP; and Executive Members Keithly Pemberton, Jamir Claxton, Alistair Williams, Dwyer Edmeade, Louis Williams, Tonya George and George Nolan.
The Johnson led team laid out several proposals that he and his team plan to implement over the next four years: upgrading Bath playfield in Nevis, (to international standards) providing substantial amount of cash to member clubs prior to the start of the SKNFA season and ensuring all players at the club level are insured.
Johnson will be serving for a third term.
