“Every day, I try to get better and better.”
Keacy Carter
With an aim to make the West Indies Senior team, Keacy Carty struck the first century of the West Indies Championship against Barbados at the the Three Ws Oval in Barbados.
The former West Indies U19 player struck 10 fours and 1 six as he amassed 114 off 199 balls to earn Man of the Match honours in a Hurricanes win.
In an interview with CWI Media Carty speaking on his successful start to the season said:
“I am very happy to start the season this way, but I am also happy that the Hurricanes got off to a good start with a win against the Pride. Hopefully, we can carry this good form into the next match against the Guyana Jaguars and into the break for the Christmas/New Year’s holidays, recuperate and get back at it again in January.”
The 21-year-old Carty hails from the Dutch island of St. Maarten but spends quality time in St. Kitts with the CWI Professional Cricket League set-up for the Hurricanes.
