Skyla Connor shined at the recently concluded CARIFTA Aquatics Championship held in Martinique. Connor produced one of the standout performances, setting 9 new personal bests and 7 national records.

Competing in 10 events, Connor recorded an impressive 9 personal bests and set 7 national records.
She now holds the record for the 200m Breaststroke, the 100m Butterfly, the 200m Freestyle, the 200m Individual Medley, the 50m Breaststroke and the 100m Freestyle. This is testament to her training, commitment, and determination.

According to SKNFA, Skyla’s 200m IM (Individual Medley) was a particularly notable swim, as it highlighted her continued development in technique, endurance, and race execution.


A key contributor to her success has been her preparation in the United States, where she has benefited from a more competitive training environment, structured coaching, and increased exposure to high-level competition. This experience was evident in her composure and confidence throughout the meet, as she executed her races with maturity and purpose. Beyond her individual achievements, her performances have raised the overall standard of the team and continue to inspire belief that St. Kitts and Nevis swimmers can compete strongly at CARIFTA and beyond.
