2018 YLAI Fellows, Shane Browne and Janeel Boon are among winners named by the United States Embassy to Barbados, the Eastern Caribbean, and the OECS for its Caribbean StartUp Summit Competition.
The competition offered entrepreneurs in the Eastern Caribbean a chance to attend TEN Habitat’s Caribbean StartUp Summit in Barbados to be held on May 24 and 25.
Browne and Boon’s travel will be fully funded by the US Embassy. This includes the entrepreneurs’ participation in the Summit, including airfare and hotel accommodations and transportation in Barbados.
St. Kitts and Nevis, Antigua, Grenada, Dominica, St. Lucia and St. Vincent and the Grenadines will all be represented. The complete list of winners are:

According to the Embassy’s release, the Caribbean Startup Summit is TEN Habitat’s flagship annual event. It brings together a global team of startup experts, founders and entrepreneur resource providers to help empower startups in the region.
It is the event built to inspire dreamers and empower ideas. The Embassy’s partnership with TEN Habitat is part of the U.S. Government’s effort of Promoting Sustainable Regional Economic Growth.
